The Little Dragons program is a program designed for children within the preschool age range (2.9 - 5 years).
This program focuses on the core principles of respect, discipline, honesty, courtesy, and integrity. As for physical skills, at this age the main focus is on balance, coordination and cooperation. I believe it is very difficult for a child to kick when they have a hard time standing on one foot!
The basics of kicking, punching and blocking are taught as well as some basic life skills; fire safety, stranger awareness, out and about safety, bike safety etc.
I believe it is important at this age to teach communication skills, we have a saying in our program…. “no one lives in our heads, so how can they know what we are thinking??”
This program is a great compliment to any preschool education that a child may be getting or a great prelude to any early childhood education. We work on color and shape recognition as well as counting.
It seems hard to believe that we can pack in so much into a 30 minute class but come on by and see how its done!!
